Join the Los Angeles Public Library for a tribute to Congresswoman Jordan, featuring special guest Jan Perry – General Manager of the LA Economic & Workforce Development Department.

The event includes screening of a short documentary and video clips highlighting U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Jordan’s life and contributions to civil rights.  Also included are excerpts from recordings of her notable speeches including the 1974 Watergate hearings, keynote addresses to the 1976 and 1992 Democratic Conventions.  You’re invited to share your own stories of how Barbara Jordan influenced your life.
