The Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department (HCIDLA) and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) are excited to announce the release of Los Angeles’ Assessment of Fair Housing (AFH) Draft Plan. The City of Los Angeles invites you to review its Assessment of Fair Housing draft document and submit comments by September 29, 2017 during the 45-day public comment period.
The AFH Draft Plan identifies fair housing issues and develops strategies to reduce existing barriers throughout the City of Los Angeles. In conjunction with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) data, the City of L.A.’s local data, and feedback gathered during the City’s robust community participation process, the AFH Draft Plan outlines draft recommendations to promote fair housing choice and foster inclusive communities. The goals and priorities illustrated in the AFH Draft Plan will be used to inform future policy development in the City of Los Angeles.

Copies of the AFH Draft Plan will be available for the public at all of the Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department’s (HCIDLA) public counters: http://hcidla.lacity.org/Public-Counters. HCIDLA’s main office public counter is located on the first floor at 1200 W. 7th Street, 1st Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90017. Copies of the Plan are available for pick up between Monday and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting on August 16, 2017.
A public hearing for the AFH Draft Plan will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6PM to 8PM. There will be a presentation on the proposed goals and strategies, as well as an opportunity for you to submit verbal or written comments. The public hearing will be held at the following location:
