Cool Blocks LA pilot to launch May 21; leaders from Council Districts 5 and 10 sought

The NCSA is excited to collaborate with Neighborhood Councils and community organizations to launch Cool Blocks LA, a free, five-month, neighborhood block-based program that lightens our carbon and water footprints while fostering community disaster resilience and social connections.

We were gratified by the great turnout by community leaders at our Cool Blocks LA Cafe last month, and are delighted to welcome to our inaugural Cool Block Leadership cohort representatives from the following areas: Arroyo Seco; Bel Air Beverly Crest; Eagle Rock; Empowerment Congress North; Glassell Park; Historic Filipinotown; North Hills West; Northridge; Pacific Palisades; Playa del Rey; and Rampart Village.

We currently seek additional participants from Council Districts 5 and 10. If you live in one of these districts and would like to explore joining us, please contact us by May 15.
