Friends,

I invite you to join me on Saturday, January 20th for the second-annual Women’s March in downtown Los Angeles.

I can’t wait to join you in standing up for women’s rights, and in sending a message to the President that the women of Los Angeles won’t back down.

This year’s march is also a call to action, to encourage women everywhere to exercise their collective power at the polls.

Our ballots matter. And together, we have the power to transform our country into a more equal place that respects and upholds the rights of women.

Join me at 8:30 a.m. in Pershing Square where I’ll take to the stage to speak out, before the march to City Hall.

Then, at 12:30 p.m., meet me outside City Hall, on the 1st Street side, to commemorate this important day with a group photo.

On Saturday, let’s fill the streets of downtown Los Angeles and march toward a more equal and inclusive future. Let’s inspire women across the country to vote. And together, let’s Change the Map.

Sincerely,

NURY MARTINEZ

Councilwoman, 6th District

City of Los Angeles
