Kiana Shariff HunterKiana Shariff Hunter – Hello, My Name is Kiana Hunter. It will be an honor to serve your needs and the needs of your family as a member of the council. My goal is to improve the community, especially with regards to the youth and the elderly, I would hope to achieve this through the introduction of neighborhood programs and activities that encourage positive interaction for both the youths and elderly, I feel that I’m best suited for this position as I have lived in this district my entire life. Thank You for your consideration, I hope we can work together to improve this community for the better.

Delores Richardson – I am a resident of the Community. I am a renter stakeholder. Area’s I would like to see change in are Community Revitalization, Expansion in the Green Economic wave of Development, a surge in our youth Employment and Neighborhood Safety. I serve as an Educator for a growing number of young children. I also would love to see pride back in our Neighborhoods and surrounding Community’s that families had servile years ago.

Corey W. Flournoy – I am running for re-election as chair on the platform Stand Take A New Direction (STAND). Under my leadership we have continued our mission to educate, engage and empower our community. We accomplished in the last year and a half; creating our council website along with social media accounts, our 1st Annual Community Breakfast Expo, and disaster preparedness training. We were successful in co-negotiating the Space Shuttle agreement with the California Science Center. We have co-sponsored youth events with LAPD, Harvard Park and with neighboring councils such as the 2013 mayoral candidates forum. We have been recognized for our community efforts and received outstanding community service awards from the Los Angeles city Council and Department of Neighborhood Empowerment. I pledge to continue working with our city agencies and officials, fellow residents, and local churches to make our community a better place to live for us all.

Priscilla Reed R11_ECCPriscilla Reed – As your elected ECCANDC Chair person, I will ensure, as a board that both our Chesterfield Square and Canterbury Knolls neighborhoods are given equal, safe and fair opportunities, to engage in our ECCANDC board decisions and direction via true, honest, physical support and outreach. We will utilize funding provided by our city of Los Angeles for both our neighborhoods and accept the volunteer support of our local businesses, schools, churches, parks and recreation, in order to truly provide the opportunities afforded both our neighborhoods. We will encourage, educate, empower, and enable them to implement the proper practice and procedures that governs our board, according to our city of Los Angeles Charter, ethics and treasure training as well as the Ralph Brown Act, procedures in which our board must implement, in order for our board to obtain true experience and deliver transparency and accountability via those we elect to represent us.

I have served our Community since 2012 as an appointed Member at Large; elected as 2012 Area 2 Rep; and currently as Secretary since April 2013. I bring over 20 years of administrative experience and am extremely knowledgeable of ECCANDC Bylaws, Public Records Act request, Ethics and Open Government, the Brown Act and Code of Civility during public meetings. I have served on many committees, as well as chaired Ad Hoc Committees Accountability, responsibility, respect and integrity are the characteristics I possess and will continue to abide by, if elected. I will continue to speak up and speak out on issues, which need to be addressed and not swept under the rug. I will fight for the best programs and resources for our Community with your support. Leonard DelpitLeonard Delpit – I am running for a seat as area one representative because public safety is my number one concern, and I would like to improve the quality of life in area one for thoses stakeholders and visitors who may live, work, or goto school in area one. I am running also because I would like to improve our parks, library, and schools in area one, as well as monitor the delivery of city services for all stakeholders in area one. Now that there is a change of Command, this community and I say, Mr. Mayor you spoke so highly and with a great sense of proud on your face of the changes you made while a Councilman.It is the stakeholders and my position that our elected officials assort what we have abided by for decades. Senoia Ortiz Emp Congress CentralSenoia Ortiz – In order to bring empowerment and solutions that will connect both our Chesterfield Square/Canterbury Knolls neighborhoods, with our elected Representatives and those authorize to govern us via laws and public policies, Within our city of Los Angeles government and our Los Angeles Unified School District governing board, I am asking you to elect me as your Stake Holder Associate Representative. I will serve and represent both our Neighborhoods and the needs of our people collectively. Our needs will change overtime, but for right now, as of today, my top priority will be to help assist you in the implementation of a stable and reliable communication system between our neighbors, our school board and the governing bodies at city hall, within the areas of ommunications via our neighborhood council. If we do things the way that they’ve always been done, then things will remain the way that they’ve always been.
