CANDIDATES FILED:
Donal Thoms-Cappello – I’ve lived in this community for four years now, and also serve as Community Outreach Coordinator for Sacred Fools Theater Company. I love this district’s diversity and the support you can feel for the local venues. My goal is to come up with innovative ways to complement the interests of the numerous artistic groups in the district with those of its budding small businesses. We have a real opportunity to weave a network that uses sophisticated 21st century strategies (social media promotion, data-driven communication, etc.) to help bring consumer traffic to long-standing businesses as well as new ones. Our many theaters, galleries, and event halls can play a role as hosting hubs, while more investment in maintaining our residential neighborhoods can generate enough good faith in the system that the consumerism needed to support our local economy can be homegrown, and reliable. Thank you very much for your time, Donal Thoms-Cappello
