I believe that a community is united by faith, family, health, education and commerce. Added is public protection with a friendly yet highly trained police force that thinks before it acts, that cares about the public they serve and protect. I believe politicians owe the public transparency and openness, character and integrity throughout their term of administration. I believe freedom is dear and must be preserved by thinking for the benefit for future generations and production today in order to achieve prosperity tomorrow. A democracy is only as workable as the people that make it up can make rational decisions and act for the good of all.

Neighborhood Councils are valued members of the City of Los Angeles family due to the efforts of many volunteers who have raised our level of respect.  Our main job is to represent our community to local elected representatives, City departments, and state elected representatives.  The reverse is also our responsibility, bringing access to government agencies and representatives to the local neighborhoods.  Relevant issues range from cleaning up city streets and bringing jobs and employment to the neighborhood to reducing traffic and providing much needed park space to the neighborhood.

As a contributor to the Neighborhood Council system since 2004, and a Board member of the Friends of the Hollywood Central Park, I’m excited about adding my energy to the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council and representing this area.  I look forward to my continuing to contribute and working with others to make EHNC a champion for our stakeholders.

I’m determined to provide a better learning environment for our youth and provide opportunities where they have access to young professionals who can guide them to appropriate careers. As a product of LAUSD and as a graduate of UCLA there is a great deal I can bring to this community, but what’s more important is that all our community members come together to make these changes happen.
