For the past 6 years, the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment has welcomed international visitors and wowed them with the work of the Neighborhood Councils. We have met politicians, academics and leaders from community-based organizations from over 60 countries. Our partner in this great exchange is the International Visitors Council of Los Angeles (ICVLA.)
We were delighted when this week, for their Citizen Diplomacy Celebration, they awarded us their 2019 IVCLA Outstanding Resources Award in recognition of our valuable contributions in citizen diplomacy to IVCLA, the Los Angeles community and the world.
Thank you to IVCLA for this great honor! Thank you also to the County of Los Angeles for presenting us with this lovely certificate in recognition of this award.
