We’re proud of EmpowerLA’s Mary Kim and Arin Abedian for their hard work in completing the challenging 4-week LA Fire Department Leadership Academy program! The graduate-level course teaches the principles of leading through service and collaboration. The Academy is attended by leaders from fire, police, and government agencies from across North America, with students in this most recent class coming from as far away as Winnipeg, Canada.
Arin and fellow EmpowerLA staff member Sevak Paramazian hand-crafted the incredible light-up plaque that you see in the photo above, to commemorate the members of this graduating class. The plaque is made of lucite and wood, backlit with LEDs, and features the seal of the LAFD Leadership Academy.
