Neighborhood Council Candidates are allowed to raise money and to accept donations and endorsements from individuals or organizations. (We recommend you keep a record of any donations received for your taxes.)
A Neighborhood Council, however, may not endorse candidates; nor may it use public funds to support individual candidates. However, individual board members may endorse candidates if – and only if – it is made clear that the endorser is stating their board member title solely for identification purposes.
