Did you know that over 80% of car safety seats for children aren’t installed correctly? Help keep your family safe – get your child’s car seat inspected by the California Highway Patrol or a certified child passenger safety technician free of cost. You have two opportunities to do so this June:

California Highway Patrol (CHP) is taking appointments to inspect car seats at Exposition Park on Saturday, June 22nd, between 9 am and 3 pm. Inspections are by appointment only – please call (213) 744-2273 to book yours!

Saturday June 29th
Childrens’ Hospital and Kohl’s Cares have partnered to sponsor a Car Seat Check Event on June 29th from 10 am – 2 pm. Appointments are encouraged, to ensure that you get seen, but you are also welcome to walk up and wait to be seen. Call Marjorie Diaz at (323) 361-4711 to make an appointment.
**At this event, you will not only get your car seat inspected, but you will also receive a free replacement car seat, if needed, while supplies last. (Your child that uses the seat must be present at the appointment in order to be fitted for the new seat, if one is needed.)
Seats will be inspected by a certified technician for 1) expiration date; 2) Manufacturer recalls, and/or 3) proper fit for your child.
