A friendly reminder that the Neighborhood Council Funding Program deadlines are coming up fast. June 7th is the last day to issue on online check request, and June 11th is the last day to use the bank card.
The Neighborhood Council Homelessness Liaisons discussed next steps in addressing the homelessness crisis in the City during a meeting on Wednesday, May 31. Over 50 Neighborhood Council Homelessness Liaisons attended the meeting and they also had an opportunity to meet with regional leads from Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Thanks to Alisa Orduna from the Mayor’s Office, Rachel Brashier from the Office of Councilmember Marqueece Harris Dawson, and Meg Barclay of the CAO for their insightful presentations. Thanks to Tom Soong for his leadership and efforts with the Neighborhood Council liaisons.
Thank you to the Mayor’s Office for the opportunity to participate and collaborate with the Mayor’s Youth Council on civic engagement issues. The Mayor’s Youth Council leaders learned about getting involved in the Neighborhood Council system. Thanks to Semee Park for presenting on our awesome Neighborhood Council system and to Sevak Paramazian, Arin Abedian, and Jose Galdamez for their help and efforts with the Mayor’s Youth Council graduation last night. Congratulations to the graduates!
