Eddie Lawrence Lockhart was born on a farm in Gregory, Arkansas on September 11, 1945, among 7 children to Clayton Lockhart and Vivian Stegall.

Eddie came to know the Lord as a young boy back in Arkansas. He moved to Los Angeles, California in the 60’s.  He recommitted his life to the Lord and became involved at Manoah Church of God in Los Angeles and was ordained as a Minister in 1995.

Eddie attended his elementary education in Arkansas.  He got his high school diploma in Cambridge Academy while at the same year (1984) got a Certificate in Business Management at United College of Business.  He graduated in Los Angeles City College with AA degrees in Administration of Justice (1985), in Liberal Arts (2001), and in Legal Assistant/Paralegal (2004).  He also graduated BS in Criminal Justice (1991) at California State University (LA).

He loved to help his community and became involved as a boardmember with the Empowerment Congress Southeast Area Neighborhood Development Council (ECSEANDC) in 2005 and served as a Parliamentarian for the last 6 years.  He also volunteered with the LA County Sheriff’s Department serving the inmates of LA County; and with the LAPD Newton and Southeast Areas Clergy Councils.

Eddie is joining in heaven his parents, three siblings (Adrian, Mike and Darnecious) and 2 others who died at very young ages.

Eddie is survived by and leaves to cherish his loving memory a wife, Estrella (Ella) dela Rosa, his son, Nick David Lockhart, his daughter, Florence Vivien Lockhart, his granddaughter, Arya Daniella Lockhart Parra, his daughter, Latania Lockhart, his grandchildren, Jameshia, Jakorey, Jakearah and Jamoore, and his brother Jerome.  He also leaves to cherish lots of grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
