16 to 24-year-olds in Los Angeles are invited to this year’s Budget Challenge, presented by LA Controller Ron Galperin. As part of the Controller’s new initiative to promote financial education and literacy among LA’s students and young adults, the Budget Challenge will put your budgeting skills to the test in an interactive budgeting simulation activity!

In collaboration with Junior Achievement, the Budget Challenge will provide essential skills to save and plan a spending budget. Participants will be given personal online profiles that simulate reality-based financial scenarios. Awards and prizes will be given to the top budgeters, and in the end, you will have an opportunity to open your first bank account during the community resource fair*.

FREE ENTRY! FREE EVENT! Morning refreshments and lunch is included. SIGN UP TODAY!

Transportation is available: Contact Dora Nuñez at dora.nunez@lacity.org or call 213-221-5663 for assistance by August 10th.

*$50 for the first 40 students to RSVP on Eventbrite and who select to open a free bank account on the RSVP form!
