EmpowerLA’s Leadership Academy is coming to your neighborhood in January with workshops that focus on NationBuilder and Nextdoor

NationBuilder is a community building platform, a powerful digital tool that allows Neighborhood Councils to engage their communities by:

  • Accessing and Managing Voter Registration Data
  • Managing Neighborhood Council Contact Data
  • Creating email blasts with Surveys and RSVPs
  • Tracking and Managing Social Media Activity

EmpowerLA has partnered with Nextdoor in pioneering social media for neighborhoods and creating an opportunity for Neighborhood Councils to message Nextdoor members sharing information such as:

  • Meet your Neighborhood Council
  • Let’s work together to make our community better
  • There’s an opportunity to work together on this project
  • Share your opinion with City Hall on these issues
  • Information on the delivery of City Services

The schedule of Workshops is:

  • Region 1: January 11 | 6-8pm
  • Region 4: January 12 | 6-8pm
  • Region 2 and 3: January 13 | 6-8pm
  • Region 5: January 19 | 6-8pm
  • Region 6: January, 20 | 6-8pm
  • Region 7: January, 21 | 6-8pm
  • Region 11: January, 25 | 6-8pm
  • Region 8: January, 26 | 6-8pm
  • Regions 9 and 10: January 27 | 6-8pm
  • Region 12: January 28 | 6-8pm
