Dear Neighborhood Council Friends and Colleagues:

The Neighborhood Council System, administered by the Departments of Neighborhood Empowerment (Department) enables Neighborhood Councils to use City funds for operating expenses and neighborhood improvements.  Such expenses include purchasing office equipment, pieces of furniture, computers and electronic equipment, among other items.

Although time has gone by and Neighborhood Council Board members may have changed, the responsibility for keeping track of purchases has nevertheless remained the same.

If you’re Neighborhood Council has already completed and submitted the updated inventory for your Neighborhood Council….Thank You. It will be reviewed and you may be contacted for additional information.

For those Neighborhood Councils that have not completed and submitted inventories and for purposes of this inventory survey, all Neighborhood Councils are being asked to report back on items that are currently in your possession and items that have been recently purchased.

The Quick Base Application used for the Neighborhood Council Inventory System is available for the Neighborhood Councils to use.  Here is the link: https://lacity.quickbase.com/db/bkhf9w3cy

Please use the following Neighborhood Council Inventory Instructions that will assist you in completing this requirement.

Lastly, the Department will be sending to all Neighborhood Council Board Members a Department letter detailing Neighborhood Council Inventory Instructions if, as an option, a physical inventory has to be completed by the Neighborhood Council with or without the assistance of the Department.

Any additional questions should be sent to Jeffrey S. Brill at jeff.brill@lacity.org or at NCinventory@empowerla.org.

Thank you
