TITLE: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Remembering When Train-the-Trainer Course. May 16-17, 2016, 0800-1700 hours.
The Los Angeles Fire Department in collaboration with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is offering the two- day “Remembering When” training on May 16th & 17th at Council Member Bob Blumenfield’s office located at:

Angelenos experience 33, 624 falls per year. According to NFPA statistics, falls are the leading cause of death from injuries in adults aged 65 and older. NFPA has agreed to partner with us as part of its ongoing effort to help reduce fires and falls among older adults.
The “Remembering When” program was developed by NFPA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help older adults live safely at home for as long as possible. Together, NFPA and CDC created 16 key safety messages – eight fire prevention and eight fall prevention – to help educate and protect the most vulnerable of older adults.
Participants completing the training will have the opportunity to deliver life-saving information to interested parties within Fire Station 93’s district in Tarzana.
Continental breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided.
Training materials are provided free of charge as a result of the generous donation of the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation (SupportLAFD.org) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA.org).
Attendance to this training will be on a voluntary basis only. There are no V funds available. You MUST attend both days.
