Online registration for the 9th Annual Valley Disaster Preparedness Fair (the largest in Los Angeles) is now open. Visit www.ValleyDisasterFair.com and click on the Registration tab. Please encourage your stakeholders to register and attend! Everything at the Fair is free, thanks to our supporters and contributors, including many Neighborhood Councils. By registering online, Fairgoers who bring their emailed Voucher to the Pre-Registered Check-in Line at the Fair can exchange their Voucher for a Token good for one Family Emergency Preparedness (EP) Starter Kit (1 per family while supplies last*). Online registrants may also receive Fair updates, directions, an exhibitor location map, plus a free gift when they check in at the Fair with the Voucher.

The emailed Welcome Letter that registrants receive immediately upon registering will include information about the registrant’s Council District and Neighborhood Council, specific to the address provided during the registration process. We invite NCs (and Councilmembers!) to write a short message (150-200 words) to your stakeholders to be included in the Welcome Letter. (Thank you to the NCs and CDs that have already submitted their outreach messages.) This is a free and valuable opportunity to communicate with your stakeholders, to let them know what you are doing for the community, and to encourage them to get involved. This offer is available to EVERY NC unconditionally. All we need is your message (and the name/title/email of the person attributed to the message), and we’ll take care of the rest.
