Thanks to those that have attended our regional outreach gatherings so far! We hope the tools presented gave you some good strategies to enhance your outreach efforts. There are two more workshops left in this series – one in the Valley, one in West LA.

Workshops are open to any Neighborhood Council board or committee member, but especially encouraged for NC Outreach Committees.

Attendance is free with RSVP. You may attend any workshop that is convenient; it does not have to be in your area. Dates, times, and locations for the two remaining workshops are below. Register now at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Regionalworkshop

Topics to be covered:

1) Identifying local resources to assist your NC outreach (asset mapping)

Your NC is rich in resources. From businesses to schools, we can help you identify local resources to assist with your outreach.

2) Strategies for filling board vacancies

We heard this is a big concern for boards throughout the City. Board members resign or quit for a variety of reasons. How can recruitment be an ongoing process so stakeholders will be ready to step in? How to inform the community that there are vacancies?

If time permits, we can cover another topic.

Just like the April 30th gathering, we will be providing some “How to” handouts on key outreach topics to add to your tool kit.

If you are an outreach chair, committee member, or a NC board member who is interested in NC outreach, please do your best to attend!
