Michael D. Gonzales I am a Kindergarten teacher at Haddon Ave. Elementary School and I enjoy working with my community. I enjoy community outreach and I think the NC has great potential to fully engage the community. I want to make a difference in Pacoima and being on the Pacoima Neighborhood Council is the gratification I feel when I participate on it.

Dora Tate I feel as though I know what is needed in the community. I have lived in the community for over 30 years. My church is in the community. I work for the VA Hospital and have worked with parolees + inmates in an outreach program.

Alex Morales As former President and Senator of political affairs at Los Angeles Mission College -Associative Student Organization (ASO) and as a life-long Pacoima resident, I understand the challenges our community, schools and parks encounter every day. I have led delegations of students to lobby our elected officials in Sacramento and Washington D.C. to improve our educational system. As part of ASO, we organized various events that have improved the student life at Los Angeles Mission College, such as career fairs, emergency preparedness workshops and registration days. As a community activist, I have the leadership and communications skills that are crucial in order to better Pacoima. I believe that our neighborhoods council can be a bridge between our community and city hall to bring the resources Pacoima needs. Istrongly believe I am ready to deal with the challenges Pacoima currently faces and as such, make it more successful for future generations.

Edwin Ramirez The Neighborhood Council is a great vehicle to help improve our community; I would appreciate the opportunity to serve on the council and to take and active part in sharing the responsibilities that come with the opportunity. As a long time resident in the area, I appreciate all the positive changes and improvements but, there is still work to be done. We can all do our share and help the Neighborhood Council be a better voice and a stronger advocate for our Pacoima Please take the time to vote!

Fredi Arriaga I’ve moved into City Of Pacoima 5 months ago, I bought my first home, which I am very happy about. My name is Fredi Arriaga, I have two wonderful Kids and a beautiful wife, they are the motivation in my career and personal life. I’m one more dreamer as many out there, dreaming with a clean and safe environment for our loved ones, thinking the City Of Pacoima could be the one. There is a lot of potential in this community that we could take advantage of, and at the same time help the community developing job opportunities. As Imentioned before, I work for UHaul Co. as a Area Field Manager, helping small business stay in business by adding them to the rental network. Looking forward to helping the leaders achiving the goals!!

Erik Cook Pacoima has yet to reach its full potential in terms of economic growth, quality of life, resource conservation, and infrastructure capability. To do so,I believe that first, it is essential a neighborhood council at-large representative that listens to the concerns of Pacoima’s residents. Secondly, it is critical to have a neighborhood council at-large representative that can effectively act upon the concerns of Pacoima’s residents. This can only be accomplished with a neighborhood council at-large representative who has the ability to strategically plan, organize the community, and execute actions on behalf of Pacoima’s residents. As a neighborhood council at-large representative, Iwill represent the residents of Pacoima by providing concrete ideas and solutions to significantly improve Pacoima’s economic growth, quality of life, resource conservation, and infrastructure capability.
Olivia Ledezma My name is Olivia Ledezma and I am running for a seat in the Pacoima Neighborhood Council. I can proudly say that I was born and raised in Pacoima. I am currently a school teacher at Haddon Ave. Elem., which is in Pacoima. Since I teach in Pacoima, I spend most of time in Pacoima. I also have many family members that live in Pacoima, including my mother, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. This is why I am so passionate in serving in the Pacoima Neighborhood Council and want to be a strong voice and advocate for the community and citizens of Pacoima. I feel I have the advantage of being from Pacoima, working in the city and spend numerous hours in the community since I am very close to my family. I am willing to dedicate my time and effort to support and serve the community of Pacoima to the best of my ability. Thank you for your consideration and support.
