The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering (BOE) is beginning the environmental review process for the proposed Sixth Street Park, Arts, River, and Connectivity Improvements (PARC) Project. The City has determined that an environmental impact report (EIR) is required. A Notice of Preparation (NOP) and Initial Study (IS), which describe the Sixth Street PARC Project and the anticipated scope of the EIR, are available for public review and comment.  

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The proposed Sixth Street PARC Project includes the creation of approximately 12 acres of public recreational space in areas underneath and adjacent to the Sixth Street Viaduct, which is currently under construction.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD:  In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) statutes and Guidelines, the IS is being circulated for public review and comment. The public review period for the IS will begin on April 13, 2017 and will conclude on May 15, 2017.
