The Board of Neighborhood Commissioners met on Tuesday, May 1st at the Westchester Senior Center. There was a robust discussion a number of topics including discussion on potential agenda items for the upcoming Board of Neighborhood Commissioners retreat on Monday, May 21 at 1 pm. A potential code of conduct policy extension was also discussed as a possible item for the upcoming BONC retreat. There was also an update on the progress on the funding equity work group. The equity group voted to support a proposal including four funding concepts from Tony Wilkinson and a proposal from Brad Kane (https://empowerla.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/BONC-NCFEWG-Proposed-Recommendations-Vice-Chair-04.23.18.pdf). The remaining funding equity proposals from other funding equity group members will be evaluated at the next meeting.   

After a total of seven Funding Equity Work Group meetings thus far, there will be one more meeting at City Hall. The next meeting is on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 pm at the Los Angeles City Hall (John Ferraro Council Chambers Room 350).  

The Board of Neighborhood Commissioners will be hosting a retreat on Monday, May 21 at 1 pm at the Cal State LA D
