Congratulations to Venice Neighborhood Council for the highest voter turnout ever achieved for any Neighborhood Council election! Though lines were long, spirits stayed high as 2,729 people came out to vote in Venice, beating the prior record for turnout at a Neighborhood Council Election by about 300 voters, which happened in 2006 with Historic Cultural Neighborhood Council.

How did Venice get such great results? Excellent engagement all around from the Council; their Election and Outreach committees; and stakeholders. The Council signed up 70 candidates, who each did their part to promote the election, and many other Venice stakeholders including businesses; developers; and the local Chamber of Commerce put in considerable effort doing outreach that got voters interested in the candidates and issues, and brought them to the polls.
