Update: Change of location for the meeting of June 25, 2015
The Los Angeles City Council, Economic Development Committee has requested the Office of the Chief Legislative Analyst to solicit community input with regards to sidewalk vending. As indicated below, the Chief Legislative Analyst was instructed to hold four community meetings throughout the City to ensure that stakeholders have an opportunity to provide input.
Please be advised that Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 42.00 (b) prohibits vending on City sidewalks and streets. Also, while Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 42.00 (m) allows for the establishment of sidewalk vending districts, no districts are legally in operation at this time.
