Saturday morning, hot day, 100 students, parents, Neighborhood Council Leaders, Elected Officials, community organizations;  Engagement!

From great storytelling techniques given by Martin Terrones (Central Alameda) to the snack sacks dropped off by Darlene (Voices), or the personal statement essays listeners/critique-rs like Barbara (EC Central) and the top brass University recruiters like USC, last Saturday’s College Application Workshop event was a great example of South Los Angeles Neighborhood Councils working together to provide a resource for their community.

The youth were engaged and inquisitive. Some asking questions that would broaden their vision of possibilities others refining their path for a desired field, but all provided with the opportunity to receive a hand-up on the road to limitless possibilities; like future NC Leaders! Ron (South Central), Josue (CANNDU) and Kelly Flores (Zapata King Forming NC) also participated in organizing and leading the event. See photos below.
