Have a good Pop-Up Polling Place to suggest in your neighborhood? If your Council is having an online election, Pop-Up Polls will increase voting opportunities for your stakeholders, so set one up for your area today. Good places might be events with a lot of stakeholder pedestrian traffic, such as a local farmer’s markets or transit hubs, or places where there is a population of people who cannot easily get out to vote, such as a senior center. Neighborhood Council meetings or Candidate Forums also make excellent Pop-Up Poll locations. Please send your suggestions to your Council’s IEA (Independent Election Administrator), and include any details you can such as the location name; location address; event date and time; and number of attendees expected. (Pop-Up Polls are best for events or locations where 25 or more voters may be signed up.) You can look up your IEA’s contact information here: https://empowerla.org/elections/region.
