Erin E. Kleiner – As a resident and teacher in the West Adams community, I would be honored to serve as the Educational Representative. Because part of my educational philosophy is that parents, families, and community members are a child’s first teachers, I know that it is important to form a “learning team” with these influential people. By creating relationships with a student’s influencers, stakeholders are able to enlist a holistic approach to education that encompasses academia as well as social and emotional growth and development. I would like to work towards creating partnerships to move education of all types forward for our neighborhood and for our kids. |

Adam Tootla – My name is Adam Tootla, and I’m running for the Homeowner Representative Seat.
The West Adams area is standing at the edge of a great revitalization. With a new expanding light rail and construction of new business, our area is heading towards change. Though, what’s important to remember as we head towards change, is that we do not lose what made this area great. Its small community feel, the small local businesses we all patronize, its character.
I have great ideas to make our community better and safer. Ideas that we’ve all talked about at neighborhood watch meetings, block parties, community events. Ideas about speeding cars, graffiti, trash. I’ve worked for large corporations, organizing and planning large initiatives. Let me bring that experience here.
With your vote, I plan to make our voice heard at the council meetings. With your vote, we’ll make West Adams great. |
Beatrice Jett McGowens – My name is Beatrice Jett. I have served on the West Adams neighborhood council for more than six years. I have been a volunteer for the American diabetes association for more than seven years, and was a volunteer for the years of 2010 and 2012. I have a great interest in community improvement and the education system. We have lived in the area for 44 years. |
