Barnaby Montgomery

I have successfully operated a business in the community since 2002, and I am running for Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council to support local employees and businesses. As a member of the Neighborhood Council, I would develop a stronger bond between residents and local businesses, and work to support street safety and local beautification projects.

Laurie Goldman

For more than 4 years, it has been my pleasure and honor to serve on the CHNC Board. YOUR voice is my motivation, inspiration and the essential component for my
next term goals which include:

• Providing an innovative forum for all stakeholders to contribute to a healthy,
vibrant and inclusive Hollywood.
Encouraging and developing your support of CHNC and learning your ideas and
• concerns so that CHNC may respond appropriately.
• Promoting a better quality of life by effecting change on community issues that
we care about, including crime, roads and streets, parking and traffic and the
economy
• Monitoring City government to ensure that it is responsive to local needs

I believe in improving our community and impacting positive change through communication and collaboration between residents, businesses and the City Family.

I appreciate your consideration and respectfully request your vote on Sunday, September 16, 2012.

Lawrence Gaughan

I am seeking this position, because I believe in the need for people to become more actively involved in policy decisions on the local level. As an actor, director, founder of a non-profit, and student of social change, I offer to be a voice for the diverse community of stakeholders, here in Hollywood. Your vote is your voice.

Denise DeCarlo

I have lived in Hollywood for 6 years and have had a business for 11 years. I am also on the Board of the Hollywood Heritage. I am very interested in improving the quality of Hollywood’s life. I am very interested in working on the beautification committee. I see many things that can be changed…small changes that can make a difference…from working on getting all dogs and cats collared, tagged, yard clean up, neighborhood safety.

David Ambroz

Proud to have served for a few years now on the board of CHNC. In that time I have helped to address a host of quality of life issues through my leadership of the beautification committee. My main focus has been to identify issues and empower my neighbors to create the community they/we imagine is possible.

Wilian Alvarado

Dear Voters, as the only Latino running(and if elected I would be the only Latino on the neighborhood council)I feel it is important to have a diverse ethnic representation on the board. I’ve lived in the neighborhood since 1995 which is probably longer then most board members and I have a real love of this community. I have previously volunteered for several Hollywood Night Out events as well as community events at the Little Red School House, Cahuenga park and the Hollywood Boys and Girls Club just to name a few. I raised my 4 children here and I want to be sure that this neighborhood will be safe for future families. Thank you.

Maximillian Mamikunian

The quality of our lives depends largely on the quality of our daily interactions within our neighborhoods; where we live, work, and socialize. I have owned The Hotel Cafe, a live music venue, for 12 years, hosting and supporting local Los Angeles singers and songwriters. This has given me a unique perspective on being not only an employer in my city, but also an advocate for many non-profit causes along the way, sharing the experiences of thousands of musicians and patrons. I would be honored to represent them on the CHNC Board and bring my years of experience in the neighborhood to further enhance our community.

Michael Nolasco

I have been part of The Latino Museum for several years now and I am proud to be part of our innovatively-bold move into Hollywood. This upcoming year will be interesting and exciting to say the least. I intend to bring a new culture of community involvement, both with the Arts and in our Neighborhood Council.Thank you for your support,

Grant Linscott

I live & own in Hollywood, and I have a vested interest in what happens in this neighborhood. I am excited about the community, and I want to continue to see Hollywood prosper. We live in one of the most famous cities in the world filled with great history and architecture. If elected, I would strive to uphold the integrity and excitement of what made Hollywood what it is today.
