Corinne Ho – I would like to continue the works that we have started and I wish to continue building bridges. I have a strong desire to serve my community and improve the quality of life in Canoga Park.

CANDIDATES FILED:
Ronald Ben Clary – I am proud of our Neighborhood Council. We have unified our diverse community to work together to build a better Canoga Park. It has been an honor to serve for ten years and to be part of the building process.I have served as land use chairman and as President and Vice President. I have also helped the community in other capacities, as Kiwanis President, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and as the member of other service and advisory groups.I believe that as our economy improves, We will see an improvement in our quality of life if we pay attention to how our community evolves and take action to assure the improvements we all desire.
Brad L. Barnes – I was born in Santa Monica and have lived in the West San Fernando Valley almost my entire life. I have participated in numerous LA City Council, Neighborhood Council and LAPD meetings, hearings, and elections. I own various companies in Canoga Park and provided work and/or employment to approximately 300 people, including licensed security guards, military veterans, paramedics, prelaw students and I have employed off-duty LAPD Officers. I hold many city and state licenses, many of which require Department of Justice and FBI background checks. I am also a licensed general contractor since 1989. I have donated to presidential campaigns, political national committees, numerous city council campaigns, LA controller campaigns, Mayor Campaigns, public radio, Americans For Safe Access, environmental organizations. I also sat on the Committee to Protect Patients and Neighborhoods of LA. I will make informed and educated decisions that will make a difference in helping our community prosper.
Avi Feinstein – I am a United States Army veteran and have lived in the San Fernando Valley for many years. I recently graduated from California State University Northridge with a degree in Criminal Justice. I am currently studying for the LSAT, and plan on attending law school at UCLA or USC. I have worked in Canoga Park for many years, and hold multiple state licenses which require Department of Justice and FBI background checks. I look forward to making a difference by making informed and educated decisions for our community.

Michelle Miranda – Dedicated to strengthening our community by assisting our young people transform their lives through leadership development. As a youth and community advocate my objective is to simultaneously address core issues facing our communities: education, employment, crime prevention and leadership development. Watching youth empower themselves and overcome life’s obstacles is what fuels my passion. I am grounded in the fundamental belief that young people, when given the right assistance, tools and role models, can become positive change agents capable of building the capacity of a community.

Mary Paterson – I love this community! I have lived and worked in Canoga Park since 1981. I have received grants for public gardens & art, alley restructuring, street and curb repair, etc.
I was one of two authors of the application submitting our community to the National Civic League which helped Canoga Park Win the All-America City Award, still the first such honor for the City of Los Angeles.
I am Chair of our Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Committee and we are working on ways to help our ourselves and our neighbors be self reliant, safe and even have a sense of ease should we experience a large earthquake or event. Thank you for your continued partnership. Help me show Los Angeles the gem that is Canoga Park. Please Vote for Mary Paterson!

Shafit – I have served this community since 1979, both in ministry and as a volunteer in many community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, and Lions Club, and assisted in the formation of the Canoga Park Neighborhood Counsel.I am concerned for the community and the standard of living in the West San Fernando Valley.

Terrance George Jakubowski – I have been a resident of Canoga Park for over 8 years, and my wife has lived here for over 30 years. I work for the Los Angeles Unified School District and have supported the following schools: Canoga Park High School, Owensmouth High School, Columbus Middle School, Canoga Park Elementary School, Hart St. School, and Nevada St. School. I know that Canoga Park is a great and historic community in the west San Fernando Valley, but is often overlooked by people in favor of more well-known communities surrounding us. The Canoga Park Neighborhood Council can be central in strengthening our community and bringing more people to our community to live, shop, dine, and enjoy entertainment.

Damaris Lopez Connors – I would like to run for the at large seat in order to participate in all issues pertaining the well being of my community , specially those affecting youth and elderly people. I have 20 year experience working with young adult in the area of education and currently i work as a business consultant and helping affordable working capital to sustain and maintain its business operation and payroll.
