Business Stakeholder Board Members
Terms: 2 Years

2 Elected Stakeholder who is at least 18 years of age or older who works or owns a business or business property within the ECSWANDC boundaries. Community stakeholder who is 16 years of age at the time of the election.
CANDIDATES FILED:
Ed Smith – I remember when Vermont & Manchester was the ‘go-to’ spot for neighborhood shopping. I also remember when Western Av was much the same. It can again. And I want to assist in making that happen. Being a business owner in the community, with plans in the works of bringing major Computer and electronic product and service offerings, will dedicate myself towards assisting the business aspects of growth in this region.
Lonella (Joy) Enix – Last year I ran for the neighborhood council board and became chair. I’ve been studying this tool for 15 months figuring out how to use it effectively in order to create real change. It takes a collaborative effort with people that are on the same page. Not only must we create a plan to increase economic development and jobs, support our schools, children and senior citizens and get our fare share of attention from City Hall but we must create a community that wants to come out of their homes and participate within their community. We can’t sit back passively and expect the politicians to make things better. It’s time we use the example set by more successful neighborhoods within L.A. and lead the charge. If we want it, we can have it! And I would like to be a part of leading the effort.

Organizational Stakeholder Board Members

CANDIDATES FILED:
Michael A. Guynn – Everyday there are incidences of social injustice and suffering in our community. ECSWNC can be the catalyst needed to turn this negative tide around. Recognizing this need for change, I continue to submit myself in the service of the ECSWNC. Collectively we can carve from the hard rock of realty a space that ECSWNC can continue to grow and thrive. If we expect ECSWNC to grow and thrive, funding and financial responsibility will have to be the fuel to “feed” this expected growth. That’s why I’m asking for your endorsement as Member of the ECSWNC Board for the 2014-2015 Term.
