Daniel Gleiberman – My wife and I own and run a retail business on Motor Avenue called DL Rhein. Since we opened over seven years ago, we have grown very close to all of our business neighbors and local customers, and we are aware of the many issues that face our neighborhood.As a certified urban planner wth over 20 years experience in land use, public policy, and sustainability, I want to get actively involved and represent the Palms Neighborhood Council to ensure that we all have a safe, vibrant, walkable community to work, shop, and live in.Thank you for considering me for this important position.

Ryan Bradley – I am currently the Vice President of the Palms Neighborhood Council where I serve on the council’s Planning and Land Use Committee and its Bylaws Committee. My wife and I have lived in Palms for 15 years. Since graduating from UCLA Law School in 2000, I have worked as a public interest attorney with Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, assisting the city’s elderly, poor and disabled. It is also been my pleasure to volunteer as a coach in the youth sports leagues of the Palms Recreation Center where I also serve on the Advisory Board. I am also a Board Member of the Child Care Law Center, an organization devoted to securing access to affordable, quality child care for California’s families. Most importantly, I am a committed volunteer and supporter of Palms Elementary School, where my daughter attends the second grade.

len pic 2013Len N. Nguyen – I’m running for secretary to support the continuing effort to make Palms a better place. I’ve lived in Palms since 2002 and led the successful effort to establish the Palms Neighborhood Council (PNC) in 2004 as the City’s 93rd neighborhood council. I served as Founding President of PNC from 2002-2005. Since 2005, I’ve served as Field Deputy for Council District 11. In that role I am the primary contact for residents, businesses, and community organizations in Mar Vista and West L.A. My responsibilities include representing the Councilmember at various community events and meetings and serving as a liaison for constituents to City Hall. Between 1998-2005 I worked as a Private Equity Associate and Senior Consulting Analyst with Wilshire Associates, a Santa Monica-based investment firm. I received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

NickGreifNick Greif – I am running for Treasurer to improve our Palms neighborhood and ensure our annual funding is well spent and cared for by someone with finance and government experience. I have both.

I currently serve on LA Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Business Team. Prior to this, I worked in strategy consulting, solving problems akin to those we face in Palms and ensuring those solutions were cost effective. I earned a degree in Finance with a Political Science minor from the Wharton School of Business at UPenn.

I grew up in L.A. and, upon returning, my girlfriend and I made Palms our first choice neighborhood. There is a lot we can do to make Palms even better. The People Street initiative can be great for our communities, as can our input into the Plan for a Healthy LA. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our neighborhood as the Palms NC Treasurer.

Carlos A Chicas – I am currently the coordinator for our Palms Neighborhood Watch. I serve on the Palms Community Emergency Preparedness committee. I fellowship and volunteer at Core Church Los Angeles.I was born and raised in Palms. My background is in non profit. I held the title of Job Developer; I assisted the homeless, disabled and underserved population in our community, with job placement. Currently I manage an apartment complex in Palms.After sharing with my wife countless wonderful childhood memories of growing up in Palms, we found ourselves with the harsh reality, that Palms had changed and not for the best. So we decided to stop complaining and instead make a difference. We began working on revitalizing the Palms Neighborhood Watch.I seek your vote so that I may be elected to the Palms NC and so that I can further assist in making our community safe and prosperous.

Willie Bell – As your representative on the Palms Neighborhood Council, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life in our West Palms neighborhood. I envision a New Palm, a community that is not only safe but beautiful. To that end, I am devoted to traffic flow improvements on Overland and Motor Avenues, to timely street repairs, and to the elimination of taggers who destroy our buildings and street signs.
Cameron Linderman – I am a resident and father here in Palms. I am a motion graphics designer www.linderman.tv I am a member of Occupy Venice. I volunteer with Venice Community Housing as a homeless advocate. I work with LA CAN, StopLAPDSpying.org, Chuco’s Justice Center, and Food and Water Watch here in Palms. I support a Homeless Bill of Rights. I am anti fracking and GMO’s. I support workers rights to organize. I am against corporate money in politics. I am an environmental activist. I support Veterans for Peace. I am against the TPP. I am for living wages. I want to see my community be a supporting and equitable one for all our families and for those looking to move here with theirs.

Cat Eagle Stevens – As a lifetime resident of Los Angeles, I am proud to be running for Palms Neighborhood Council. Palms is an excellent example of the diversity, prosperity and ambition of Los Angeles residents and business owners. It is a privilege to represent our community – and I am well-suited to fulfill this role.I have attended local schools, worked in the community, and have made a career of representing individuals within entertainment. When I joined as Secretary, I wanted to beautify our community and we took those first steps by installing artwork on utility boxes throughout Palms. As the President of the PNC since 2012, we have made Palms safer, cleaner, greener, and friendlier with community-driven projects like renovating Woodbine Park—which my two-year-old daughter loves!My family and I have now made Residential Area C in Palms our home with the recent purchase of our condominium. As your representative, I want to focus on our residential area by: 1) moving forward on the PNC project to improve Overland Avenue, 2) working to maintain Woodbine Park, 3) improving sidewalk access and walkability, 4) continuing to organize neighborhood clean ups, and 5) bringing us together as neighbors.
