Roger Gerrish – My name is Roger Gerrish and my wife Celeste and I currently live in area 6 of Woodland Hills.I moved to Los Angeles from England in 1983 when I started my career as an Engineer and have lived in Woodland Hills for the past 29 years. I am a Chief Engineer at Farmers Plaza in Woodland Hills Warner Center and currently serve as a board member of the Woodland Hills Warner Center NC. I enjoy serving the community and working with my fellow stakeholders in making Woodland Hills one of the best places to live in California.I have a strong interest in public safety, emergency preparedness and am a true believer in grassroots democracy.I look forward to working with all of you and encourage everyone to get in involved and stay involved with our wonderful community.

Dennis Thomas DiBiase – As a member of the WHWCNC for over 5 years, I realize that making things happen in the City takes experience to deal with a complicated system and also to understand who to contact if you want to get things done. My work on the WHWCNC has been enhanced, I believe, by my participation in the Chamber of Commerce, Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization, Citizens Advisory Committee for the Warner Center Specific Plan, and the Ventura Cahuenga Plan Review Board. The exposure makes me understand/ consider everyone’s various points of view. I have worked hard for my neighbors on issues specific to our area including relations with Pierce College, having stop signs added at critical intersections, the debate about the OSO School and the continuing work to keep our streets/ parkways maintained and getting the City Services we deserve and pay for. I would like to continue serving my community.

Linda Kouy-Ghadosh – I am an attorney practicing in the area of family law. I have lived in Woodland Hills since 2001 and have subsequently started my own practice in Woodland Hills in 2010. I love Woodland Hills and will advocate for its betterment. I have been a member of the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Council since 2012 and look forward to continued service with the Council.

Larry Kraus – I am seeking election to the Woodland Hills Neighborhood Council based on my long standing affiliation with the Woodland Hills community. As an administrator at Los Angeles Pierce College, I have established many connections between the college and the Woodland Hills/Warner Center community, including the Woodland Hills Homeowners’ Association, VICA, and the Economic Alliance. I am a consensus builder, and having worked at the college for close to 40 years, I will bring a historical perspective on the region to the Council that I believe will enable me to make a strong contribution.

Don Lyon – I grew up in the San Fernando Valley; attended valley schools; my children were born and raised here; and I work within our City areas.The Valley has grown from an intimate community of 200,000 people and Orchards, to over 1,200,000 people- Our community needs to be apprised of pertinent community issues and proactively seek solutions as this is your home.

Caitlin Dawson – I am excited for the opportunity to serve Woodland Hills, where I have lived, attended school, and now work. I received my Environmental Studies degree from UCSB and am currently employed in a land use planning firm located in the Warner Center. As a Neighborhood Council member, I look forward to partnering with the community to aid economic growth while protecting residential life in Woodland Hills.

I want to ensure that my family and business, both in Woodland Hills are located in what I consider to be the best city in the San Fernando Valley. Woodland Hills has the potential to be the crown jewel of Southern California.

Sean Conway McCarthy – McCarthy is a life-long resident of Los Angeles, a small businessman working with accounting a finance firms as well as a member of the Woodland Hills Tarzana Chamber of commerce. A fair minded pro-job growth leader who was nominated for the Fernando Award in 2013. McCarthy has won election to the neighborhood council 3 times prior to this election and has distinguished himself by working to beautify Woodland Hills.
Residential Representative of Area 3

Angela C Dawson – For years I covered the Valley as a journalist, impartial. Now, I want to do more than simply observe and report. I want to make a difference and implement change in what needs to be changed and to improve this region for future generations.
Nancy McLean – I am an active member of the Woodland Hills Warner Center Neighborhood Council serving as the Residential Representative of Area 3 and actively participating on the Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee. I have previously served on the Public Safety Committee. My goals are to adhere to the council’s charter of helping to make local government more responsive to the needs of the community and passionately collecting feedback from local residents to objectively serve as their voice. I am dedicated to continually learning and preserving Walnut Acres best interests.
Stephanie Caldwell Schlatter – I currently work as the Associate Dean of Disabled Student Services at Los Angeles Pierce College and am a resident of Woodland Hills. I serve on several advisory committees and interface with the Los Angeles County of Mental Health, Tierra del Sol, Department of Rehabilitation, and North Los Angeles County Regional Center to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities. I serve as a voting member of several campus shared governance committees including: Student Success, Threat Assessment/Behavioral Intervention, Diversity, and Facilities Advisory/ADA Compliance. Previous to Pierce, I worked for CSU Long Beach, El Camino College, and Northrop Grumman Corporation. My education includes a Master’s in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University and B.S at CSU, San Luis Obispo in Social Sciences and Business. I look forward to bringing forth stakeholder concerns to the Council regarding education, wellness, and safety in the community.

Bill Anderson – Hello, my name is Bill Anderson. It is a privilege to provide you with information on my candidacy for Area 3 Community Based Organization Representative, an office that I have held since 2008. During that time I have served on a number of committees including Chairman of the Community Services Committee where I worked with the Bureau of Street Services to repair local streets. I oppose inappropriate development and stand in support of the residents of Walnut Acres in their continuing struggle to preserve their neighborhood. I have owned a home in Area 3 for the past 18 years. I am a member of Prince of Peace Episcopal Church. It is my sincere desire to continue to work to preserve the beauty of Woodland Hills, maintain safe streets and ensure that the community receives its fair share of city services. Albert J. Saur – I have been an alternate member of the WH Neighborhood Council since 2010. I have served on several committees. Currently i am serving as the NC representative on the Reseda ONEGeneration Senior Symposium committee. I am also the chair of an Ad Hoc committee regarding the clean-up of the Santa Susana Field Laboratory. If elected I expect to continue my work on these and other committees. I am retired and still have a clear mind and I intend to continue doing what I can to improve life in our city.

I am a commercial real estate investment broker and former-practicing real estate attorney. Scott Silverstein – My name is Scott Silverstein and I am a candidate for Area 4, Community Based Organization. I am honored to serve as the current Chair of the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Council. Over the last 8 years, in addition to Board Chair, I served as Secretary, and Chair of the Education Committee.When I was elected Chair, I set the following goals that are important in our mission as a neighborhood council:- Transparency of the council’s workings.
– Establish a healthy and meaningful relationship with our elected officials;
– Take on issues of great value to our stakeholders;
– 1st and only NC to live-stream our board meetings online;
– Facilitate more cooperation with neighboring councils;
– Eat more vegetables.Other than the last one, we as a neighborhood council were able to achieve all of these goals, and more.I would like to continue this trek. There is much more to accomplish.
Kelly Del Valle – I would like to represent the people of Area 4 as the Community Based Organization Representative, to enhance our neighborhood by encouraging more community, to strive for and maintain safe neighborhoods for all, and to improve the quality of life in this area by working with residents, businesses and our elected officials. Vahid Khorsand – I have since 2006 worked in the equities research industry, providing investment firms with research on public companies in addition to trading services.
I am active on several nonprofit boards which gives me a wide scope perspective of the west valley.
I currently serve on the WHWCNC.
Additionally, I serve on the board of the Encino Chamber of Commerce, LAPD Valley Traffic Advisory Council, the SFV Jaycees, and ONEgeneration. I have in the past served on the board of LAPD West Valley Jeopardy and the California Jaycees.
I have been recognized as a San Fernando Valley Jaycee and California Jaycee of the year, plus recognition as 40 under 40 by both the SFV Business Journal and SCV Signal.
I am a graduate of CSU Long Beach and Pepperdine University.
My experiences through work and community organizations provide a deep foundation to represent businesses in Woodland Hills.

Pat Patton – I have lived in Woodland Hills for 40 years and worked for 30 years with the City of Los Angeles, Public Works Department. I’m a current Board member of the Neighborhood Council and serve on the PLUM, Public Safety and Governance Committees. I advocate preserving the aesthetics and values of the community and attend Zoning and City Planning hearings to speak on behalf of residents and business owners. I believe the Neighborhood Council should strive for infrastructure and other improvements to support neighborhood development and meet the needs of the community.
Houtan Hormozian – An entrepreneur with over a decade of accomplish-laden experience in the electronics, automotive, real estate and finance industries, Mr. Hormozian’s expertise centers around brand development, product launch, market share, distribution expansion and operations efficiency goals. Mr. Hormozian has begun a transformative revolution in the marketplace where he combines his real world experiences with cyber world resources, using valuable insight and resources combined with technology and high level customer service to resolve the challenges to leadership and management that riddle start up and growing companies and brands. Mr. Hormozian currently holds the titles of Treasurer of the Los Angeles Metro Chapter of the California Association of Mortgage Professionals and Web/PR Chair of the Orange County Chapter of the California Association of Mortgage Professionals. Becoming a recent homeowner in Woodland Hills, he is vested in maintaining and enhancing the quality and integrity of the Woodland Hills community.
Alex Segal – I was born and raised in Woodland Hills and am dedicated to tending the beautiful garden we have collectively grown. I know well the unique cultural landscape we have developed here and the complex issues that we face. Consumer protection, education, local business concerns, and public safety are important issues and require a thoughtful balance in order to properly tune the delicate instrument that is our local policy. Woodland Hills is a wonderfully inclusive community and it is important that we make decisions that will invite new opportunities and public engagement without disturbing the individual rights of the people that live here. I have the ability to develop the relationships and implement the programs necessary to create policy that makes people’s lives better. I am enthusiastically looking forward to serving our superb suburb, Woodland Hills.

Gordon Murley – I have served on the Woodland Hills/Warner Center Neighborhood Council since 2004 serving as Vice Chair, Chair of PLUM committee, parliamentarian, and Chair of Governance Committee. Having been involved in development and Woodland Hills issues as well as City wide issues since 1984 I feel my experience and knowledge of how the city of Los Angeles works is a valuable asset to the Neighborhood Council members in carrying out the functions that the Charter mandates the NC’s are to do.I would like to continue serving you as the Business Representative for Area 6 to insure that the Council will serve you well by being able to work well with the Council Office and the various important Departments that give us the necessary services we depend on for our quality of life.

Heath Kline – I have had the privilege of serving the Woodland Hills community as a Board Member of the WHWCNC for eight years.During my tenure, I have served as a member and Chair of the Education Committee, and Director of Community Affairs where I solved decades old school-community public safety problems. I served as Chair of the Streets Services Committee that persuaded the City to pave some of our neglected Woodland Hills streets. I was responsible for the publication and mailing of the NCs 4-color newsletters and did the same for four other NCs; saving tens of thousand of city taxpayer dollars in the process. I’ve served on the DWP-NCMOU Oversight committee helping insure reliable water and power while keeping escalating rates in check. I produced the NCs sell-out televised Senior-Caregiver Education conference. If it’s a big daunting task, the NCs gives it to me, please give me your vote.

L. Joyce Fletcher – I have lived in Area 7 for 19 years and my company, Plan R Marketing, Inc. is located in Woodland Hills.
I am the current Secretary of the Neighborhood Council, the Community Outreach Chair, Asst. Treasurer and I serve on the PLUM Committee.
I have served on the Board of the Valley Cultural Center, the Girls Scouts and Valley Women’s Center. Woodland Hills faces many challenges and decisions in the near future. We must have a voice in the decisions that effect our neighborhoods. Our neighborhood needs better schools and streets, safe parks and a modern infrastructure. Because I live and work here I experience on a daily basis the things that make our neighborhood wonderful. And I also experience the problems. As your representative I promise to work hard to keep Woodland Hills a safe family friendly community.

Peter B Fletcher – I am the current CBO representative for area 7. I have been a member of the WHWCNC for 18 months. I am on the Community Outreach committee and I am responsible for all the the NC’s posts on the website, facebook and twitter. I have represented the WHWCNC at the VCC Concerts On The Green for the past 4 years.
