Under my leadership the council has been more active in our community than in previous years. During the next four years we will continue advancing the work of the Council and serving our community. Being a teacher, I understand the importance of education. therefore, we offered more resources & educational workshops informing our community of their rights.Thanks for your support. Linda Jay – I am a mother/activist who has been on the front lines working for justice in my community for over 20 years. I will work hard to help eradicatae the senseless murders of our children that continues to plague our community. I am determined to make a difference being that I lost my daughter Britany in the summer of 2007 and did not give up on finding her killer. I got justice for my child after 6 years because I of peserverance. I did not or would give up

Michael A. Guynn – My name is Michael A. Guynn and I’m currently completing my first term as a board member as an organizational representative. I would like to continue the work of the SWNC in the position of Vice-President of the board. This will allow me to support the President and their vision as well as agenda for the people that reside in the our neighborhood catchment area.
Johnny Andrade – I work, live and grew up in this community. I’m excited to be a part of a group like the Neighborhood Council where I can share my ideas with community members and stakeholders to help South Los Angeles flourish.

I graduated from Santee High School and have helped out at many South Central Neighborhood Council events over the years. I have lived in this community my entire life and I want to serve on the board so that I can continue to work hard to help my community. I appreciate your support! Please vote for me on May 3rd!

The greatest people in world’s history were regular people that made positive contributions through serving others and living for something bigger than themselves.My name is Martha Sanchez and my passion is helping people. Today’s worlds requires well prepared meaningful leaders willing to address the needs of a diverse society. Let’s work together to bring more investment, job opportunities, and educational resources to our community. Let’s remove the old stereotype that “we don’t care about our community.” Let’s do something bigger than ourselves!
