Kathy Moghimi-PattersonI have served the community of Encino as the Representative At Large on the board of Encino Neighborhood Council since 2010. I live and own property in Encino. I am running for my third term to protect and advocate our community interests. As an advocate and representative, I have attended various City and State meetings and hearings and worked with the officials for betterment of our community. I have a Doctorate degree in Law and worked in the legal field for the past 19 years. Utilizing my knowledge and experience, I have chaired the Encino Neighborhood Council’s Bylaws Committee and I am proud of our committee’s accomplishments. I have also been featured in LA Times, Daily News, Jewish Journal and many other publications for my efforts in saving a state park in our community. I have also represented the community on important issues such as Redistricting Los Angeles and California.
Alex Treybush – DEAR FREINDS: My name is Alex Treybush and as a long term Encino resident and small business owner(general building contractor) I am appalled by the recent changes in our city management. Regretfully these changes pass DWP. DWP want us to pay for their extravagant perks propose to increase rate for theyr services. I urge you to vote against the pay increase and elect me for your representation. Iwill fight for fairness to see DWP employee works under the same rules and standards of performance as private-sector employee do. Thank you for your consideration.

Todd Rubinstein – My goal for the Encino Community is to reinvigorate and remake the Encino Neighborhood Council (ENC) a much more enjoyable and productive place in which to get the people’s business accomplished. My experience as the ENC business rep over the last few years, has uniquely qualified me to help our community stay the shining jewel of the Valley.I have worked and lived in Encino since 1994. Encino is a vibrant and exciting place to live, work, play, and thrive. There are many great businesses, shops, restaurants, and office buildings. It is my desire to continue the work of the Council to ensure that Encino continues to be a great place to live, work, play, and grow a great community. Sharon Brewer – I have been involved with the ENC for approximately 11 years (since before certification), most of that time as Park Advocate/Environment Representative. I have been on the following ENC Committees: Bylaws, Election, Finance, Outreach, Parks, Public Safety. I have never missed an ENC General meeting in approximately 11 years. I have volunteered at numerous community events and park clean-ups. I have been on the Park Advisory Board for Encino Community Center for 11 years. I continually monitor City Council, Committee, and Commission meeting agendas looking for issues that might impact Encino as a community and when possible make comments at the meeting. I feel the mission of the ENC should be to “Empower the Stakeholders” with knowledge to help them make sure

Debra Lee George – I’d be honored to be re-elected to the Encino Neighborhood Council as your Park Advocate and Environment Representative. Over the past year I’ve met with environmental and governmental groups to address reconstruction of the Wildlife Reserve, supported SFV Audubon’s educational programs, addressed the fair allocation of Quimby funds and Prop K funds for Encino, worked with FoLAR and the Army Corp on the condition of LA River, and worked out a compromise with Rec & Parks to keep the soccer fields open to the public. I’d like the opportunity to continue this work.

I am concerned with traffic on Ventura Blvd and Helicopter noise in our area. I have been involved with ENC for about 5 years now serving as Outreach and Volunteer Chair and Business Alternate. I believe that the Planning and Land Use Committee can benefit from more participation from people whose property, business, or life could be affected by a pending development.

Glenn Bailey – I currently represent Area 1, which includes Encino Village, Encino Park, and other neighborhoods north of Burbank and west of Balboa boulevards and public facilities such as Balboa Sports Center and Sepulveda Basin Off-Leash Dog Park. On the Neighborhood Council, over the years I have actively served on the Park, Finance, Outreach, Bylaws, and Election committees and have been President since October 2012. For two years I represented the Valley on the Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates, an elected citywide group that makes budget recommendations to the Mayor and City Council. I continue to fight the City’s proposal to make homeowners liable for sidewalk repair damaged by parkway trees (average cost per homeowner $3,500-7,000). Kenneth R. Silk – I am running for re-election because of my concern as an Area 3 resident, condo owner, and HOA Board member about conditions in Area 3. I have lived in the Valley for 28 years and prior to retirement had a law office in Encino. Since 2008 I have lived in Area 3 and since 2010 I have served as Area 3 representative. I have been a member of the Public Safety Committee and currently serve as a member of the Transportation Committee and the Elections Committee. Since 2012 I have been the Secretary of the Encino Neighborhood Council. As a retiree I have sufficient time to serve as ability to serve without business conflicts. If re-elected I will continue to vote and speak out against any developments that will cause traffic, parking, or safety problems to Area 3 residents.
