CANDIDATES FILED:

Jeffrey W Stansfield – I wake up every morning asking myself how can I help the people of Los Angeles and Pacoima. This is why you should vote for me. I bring an extensive background of private sector experience as a business owner as well as my previous elected leadership roles not only in our neighborhood but also dealing with the mayor, the city Council, our senators and congressmen and other elected officials. And addressing those needs with thorough and practical planning. I believe by playing the rules and keeping our word we can accomplish much together. We deserve a transparent government control by citizens you can trust. I hope you will let me use my experiences to move Pacoima into a new and positive direction. I also bring a lot of experience in my volunteer work. As a big brother for the last 17 years and a volunteer with the American Red Cross
Juan Salas – I spent part of my childhood in Pacoima and I now live in this city. If elected, I will do my best to improve the quality of life in Pacoima.
Eric Pierson – I am a former Marine and preisdent of Sycamore View HOA. I have the task of maintaining fiscal responsibility while meeting the needs of the home owners. I would bring this experience to the Neighborhood Council in order to best serve the needs of Pacoima while working to stop wasteful spending by the city council. I would be a voice for Pacoima.
Ruth Martinez – I moved to Pacoima October 2011 and within a year found myself becoming more involved with the community. I joined CPAB- Community Police Advisory Board, attended Pacoima Beautiful meetings along with participating with upcoming events that were organized. I am a volunteer with LAPD and assist and attend monthly neighborhood watch meetings. I began attending PNC meetings as a stakeholder in May of 2013 to see how else I could impact and improve my community. August of 2013 I assisted with organizing National Night Out and also assisted with Pacoima Neighborhood Clean up with the assistance of the council members office Felipe Fuentes and Raul Bocanegra Assembly members office.
I enjoy working and making my community a safer area for everyone to enjoy. I am looking forward in continuing to serve Pacoima.

Levi Ponce – Growing up in Pacoima as a child with my parents has taught me about the common struggles of the working people here. But a united community can be strong and accomplish great things. My internationally acclaimed murals on Van Nuys Blvd were possible only for that reason. This experience has taught me how to unite diverse groups in working towards common goals. But there is much more to be done in the neighborhood that raised me. If elected, I will work with the council to enable Pacoima in becoming a better place for the families that live here.
Patricia Esquivel – I am a resident of Pacoima and work for Phoenix House of Los Angeles. The purpose of my dept. is to provide Drug & Alcohol prevention services to the community of Pacoima.
