Alexander Sarno – (Certified)

Dear Westlake South residents and Neighborhood Council,

My name is Alexander Sarno – people call me Alex – and I’m originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. I was raised by an American mother and a father who immigrated from Argentina.

I find immense joy actively participating in the communities in which I immerse myself; so, naturally, I’m interested in doing the same in the community in which I live. I’ve lived in Westlake South since June 2020, and I’ve enjoyed the diversity, walkability and activeness of our community. There are many beautiful aspects of our community; however, I have observed and found via research that our community suffers from economic hardships, safety issues, and a lack of sanitation. I believe that progress begins with an authentic and strong grassroots organization, which brings me to the Neighborhood Council. I’m confident that with knowledge of city resources, active engagement and operational transparency, we can progress as a community.

Thank you.
