The new 3,700 square foot playground, a partnership between First 5 LA and their “Tot Lot” program and LA County, features a colorful, undulating landscape, a 20-foot “tree fort,” and a 10-foot long enclosed slide, among other activities to keep kids engaged and entertained.

Since Grand Park opened in 2012, it has significantly transformed LA’s Civic Center and furthered the current revitalization of the downtown region. At twelve acres total, Grand Park stretches from City Hall in the east to The Music Center in the west. The children’s playground is in the southwest corner of the Great Lawn.

Grand Park is easily accessed by the Metro Red and Purple Lines via the Civic Center/Grand Park Station, and by the Metro Gold Line via the Little Tokyo/Arts District Station.
