PlanCheckNC is the Neighborhood Council Alliance focusing on planning and land use issues. Land Use Committee members are especially encouraged to attend, but anyone interested in learning how to navigate the City’s planning and development process is welcome. PlanCheckNC meets every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10 am. at Hollenbeck Police Station, 2111 E. 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90033.

At the March 10th PlanCheckNC meeting, Department of City Planning announced the Planning 101: Project Planning workshops, and two new Neighborhood Liaisons, Fabiola Inzunza and Dylan Sittig. Fabiola will be the point contact person, and she will be covering the Valley, West, South, and Harbor planning areas. Dylan is part of the Transit Neighborhood Plan Unit, so he will be part time as a Neighborhood Liaison, and the planning areas he will cover are Central and East. Please feel free to contact the Department of City Planning Neighborhood Liaison, fabiola.inzunza@lacity.org or at (213) 978-1321.

The Department of City Planning and the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment will be hosting a series of Planning 101 Trainings throughout the month of April. The trainings will take place across seven regions and they are intended to provide an overview of the basic elements of planning, land use and zoning, with a focus on the project planning process.
