To ensure effective and timely responses to Neighborhood Council inquiries, EmpowerLA has set up several emails that are monitored by Department staff. We understand that with so many emails, it is difficult to know who to email. The list below includes the emails that all Neighborhood Council board members and stakeholders may use: Anything related to elections, including issues and additions on and voter registration. Candidate registration issues go to this email. City Clerk handles all Candidate Registration inquiries. This email is for general questions about the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the Neighborhood Council system. Any inquires about outreach and communications, which includes NationBuilder, Nextdoor, Bus Benches, Bus Shelters, Street Banners, Social Media, Workshops, Events, Collateral, Graphics, Icons, Website (not elections-related), and any other Outreach topic. This email is for all funding related inquires that Neighborhood Councils may have. It is the first and most direct line of communication to the funding team. This email is the only way for EmpowerLA to know of a change on the Neighborhood Council board. In addition, this email should be used for any updates on Neighborhood Council EmpowerLA pages ( which includes Board Rosters, Neighborhood Council Meeting Times and Locations, Mailing and Planning Addresses, and any other content on the pages that needs to be updated. This email should be used for any commission related inquiry; it gets forwarded to the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners. This email is to send submissions to the weekly department newsletter and blog. Submissions are due Wednesday for a Friday e-blast.
