LA Law Library Hosts 3rd Annual Slate of Learning Events for the Public

Making the law accessible is the daily focus of LA Law Library’s efforts to connect citizens of LA with specialists who can provide useful information, resources and tools aimed at helping members of the LA community understand and successfully navigate the legal system.

Law Week is an annual series of FREE events focusing on a central theme Celebrating The Rule of Law. Packed into one single week, April 27 – May 2, this year’s back to back educational sessions cover a wide range of hot topics such as rights and responsibilities on the part of both landlords and tenants, what to do if you are involved in an income tax dispute, a presentation explaining proposition 47’s eligibility requirements, and many additional programs.

Last year’s informative and engaging programs drew hundreds of community members to the information sessions. This year, participation is expected to be high. Visit LA Law Library’s dedicated Law Week page and register for classes. If a class is full and you are waitlisted, consider coming for any class that interests you as, more often than not, there has been room to accommodate walk-ins!

LA Law Library is the second largest public law library in the United States. LA Law Library meets the needs of the public, self-represented litigants, and the legal community in a dynamic, ever-evolving global environment where information is shared, updated and accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

We are conveniently located one block east of the “Civic Center” Red-Line Station!
