NC Valley Village boardmembers and stakeholders celebrated the 35th Annual National Night Out by honoring 3 LAPD officers from North Hollywood Division: Manny Arreygue, Tony Chang, and John Antonioli. Mayor’s Office East Valley representative Jaqueline Serrano, 2nd District Councilman Paul Krekorian and Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian were there to present proclamations to the officers being recognized. NCVV’s board presented each officer with a medal that read, “Neighborhood Council Valley Village NNO Hero.”
The event featured live music from Jimmy Dale; Subway sandwiches; salads from Red Moon Cafe and Mencie’s Yogurt. There were free giveaways of donated prizes and the evening ended with a local National Night Out tradition, where LAPD led kids on a glow-stick walk around the block to symbolically take back the neighborhood.
With lights flashing, kids and adults walked in front of the LAPD car back into the Valley Village Park.
