City Clerk has added a new policy allowing Neighborhood Councils to designate a 3rd signer for board-approved funding documents, if their Treasurer or 2nd Signer is not available to do so.

To designate a 3rd signer (aka an “alternate signer” or “tertiary signatory”), the board should first agendize a discussion and vote on who this alternate 3rd signer should be. Once that decision is made, an email containing a Board Action Certification (BAC) naming that 3rd signer should be sent to ClerkNCFunding@LACity.org .
