Even though Pop-Up Polls are set up in public places and at events, it’s important to remember that an election is taking place at those mobile voting stations.

Because of this, when a Pop-Up Poll is happening, candidates running for Neighborhood Council seats should be mindful of the following:

  1. Candidates may not come within 15 feet of a Pop-Up Poll unless they are actually casting their own ballot.
  2. No one – including a candidate – may tell someone else how to vote, or help them fill out their ballot. If you see that a voter needs assistance, please ask a poll worker to help that voter instead.
