The EmpowerLA Podcast won Outstanding IT Project at the GovTech Los Angeles Excellence in Technology Awards! Congratulations to our podcast team, host Brett Shears and producer Arin Abedian, for being recognized for their hard work pioneering City Hall’s first podcast.
Arin and Grayce Liu were on hand at the Los Angeles Digital Government Summit to accept the award on behalf of EmpowerLA.
The EmpowerLA Podcast features a new guest each month talking about the impact Neighborhood Councils can have on the quality of life in their communities, and in Los Angeles as a whole. Guests have included both NC leaders and top City officials including Controller Ron Galperin, City Councilmember David Ryu, and department directors and general managers like Claire Bartels (Office of Finance) and our latest guest, outgoing Bureau of Street Services Director Nazario Sauceda.
