The City budget says a lot about what and who we value.  One of the most important roles Neighborhood Councils play in Los Angeles is advising the Mayor and City Council on the annual budget, through the work of a Citywide alliance called the Budget Advocates. Controller Ron Galperin recently said, “My best ideas come from Budget Advocates.” The Advocates are asking you to help shape their budget recommendations by taking a short survey on how City money is spent.

This survey takes only 5 minutes to complete. Click here to take it now: https://goo.gl/forms/ulVrK34Ap46odThc2. Please make sure to add your ZIP code at the end, so issues may be targeted to relevant neighborhoods.

Your feedback will be used in preparing the annual Budget Advocate White Paper – a document given to the Mayor, City Council, and City Controller every year to describe where increases, efficiencies, and other issues arise in the budget.

For more information on the Budget Advocates and their work, visit  http://ncbala.com/.  They generally meet on the 1st Monday of every month at 7 pm in City Hall, and the 3rd Saturday at 10 am in West Los Angeles.
