The City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works Commissioner, Aura Garcia, and the Office of Community Beautification hosted the Keep Los Angeles Beautiful 2nd Annual Beautification Conference on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The conference brings together like-minded local, regional and national organizations and community members to come together and address current industry issues and to encourage overall networking. They play a significant role in keeping Los Angeles Beautiful and they all share the same vision of a clean and sustainable Los Angeles.

The Los Feliz Neighborhood Council was recognized for their efforts to help create a cleaner and more beautiful Los Angeles. They have hosted a number of events that range from quick 1 hour clean-up sessions, to community mural painting sessions on the blank walls of local grocery stores to make our city a healthier and lovelier place to live in. Not only does the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council care about beautification; they have also taken major steps within their community to make Los Feliz a safer place by installing updated crosswalks!
